O CHRIST, THOU ART OUR JOY ALONE


1 O Christ, Thou art our joy alone,
Exalted on Thy glorious throne:
To Thee all pow'r in earth and heav'n
As victor o'er the world is giv'n.
2 We suppliants, therefore, ask of Thee
To pardon our iniquity:
And lift up ev'ry Christian heart
By grace to find Thee where Thou art.
3 Be Thou our joy, and Thou our guard,
As Thou wilt be our great reward:
So shall the lifht that springs from Thee
Be ours through all eternity.
